How SICO VENT Eliminated Safety Incidents Through Multi-Layer Protection Systems

The SICO VENT app by SIMON PROtec provides seamless Bluetooth control of SICO‑HUB‑BT modules and connected PA actuator drives, allowing precise operation of windows and smoke/flap systems. Designed to integrate with SIMON PROtec’s ventilation and fire-safety solutions, the app enables easy monitoring, accurate positioning, and efficient management of building smoke and ventilation systems.

Challenges

The window ventilation control system lacked critical safety mechanisms, exposing users to potential hazards including weather-related damage, reverse polarity issues, and dangerous actuator movements. Without proper safeguards, the system posed risks to both property and user safety. 

Solutions

We designed and implemented a comprehensive three-tier safety system designed to protect equipment and ensure operational safety through automated monitoring and preventive controls. Built with fail-safe principles in mind, it offers multiple layers of protection against hazardous conditions and equipment damage.
